The "No Internet, Secured" message means your computer is connected to the Wi-Fi network and the connection is encrypted (secured), but there is no internet access. The Wi-Fi connection itself is fine. The problem is between the router and the internet, or between your computer and the router's DHCP service. ## Fix 1: Restart Your Router Before touching your computer: 1. Unplug your router (and modem if separate) from power. 2. Wait 30 seconds. 3. Plug the modem back in first. Wait for it to fully boot (all lights stable). 4. Plug the router back in. Wait for it to fully boot. 5. Try connecting again. This resolves the majority of "No Internet" issues. ## Fix 2: Forget and Reconnect to the Network 1. Click the **Wi-Fi icon** in the taskbar. 2. Click the arrow next to your connected network. 3. Click **Forget**. 4. Reconnect to the network and enter the password again. ## Fix 3: Renew Your IP Address Your computer may have received a bad IP address from the router. 1. Open **Command Prompt as Administrator**. 2. Run: ```cmd ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew ``` 3. Check if internet access is restored. ## Fix 4: Flush DNS 1. Open **Command Prompt as Administrator**. 2. Run: ```cmd ipconfig /flushdns ``` 3. Try browsing again. ## Fix 5: Set DNS Manually Your router's DNS may be failing. Set your computer to use a public DNS server: 1. Open **Settings > Network and internet > Wi-Fi**. 2. Click your connected network. 3. Click **Edit** next to DNS server assignment. 4. Change from **Automatic (DHCP)** to **Manual**. 5. Enable **IPv4** and enter: Preferred DNS: `8.8.8.8` Alternate DNS: `8.8.4.4` 6. Click **Save**. ## Fix 6: Reset Network Stack 1. Open **Command Prompt as Administrator**. 2. Run these commands: ```cmd netsh winsock reset netsh int ip reset ``` 3. Restart your computer. ## Fix 7: Check If Other Devices Have Internet If your phone and other computers also have no internet on the same Wi-Fi, the problem is your internet service, not your computer. Contact your internet provider. If other devices work fine but yours does not, the issue is specific to your computer. Continue with Fix 8. ## Fix 8: Disable and Re-enable Wi-Fi Adapter 1. Open **Settings > Network and internet > Advanced network settings**. 2. Click **Disable** next to your Wi-Fi adapter. 3. Wait 10 seconds. 4. Click **Enable**. ## When to Contact IT If none of these fixes work and other devices on the same network have internet access, the issue may be: A Group Policy or security configuration blocking internet access. A proxy setting that is misconfigured. A VPN client that is interfering with routing. A firewall rule blocking traffic. These require IT administrator access to investigate.
