iCloud for Windows lets you access your iCloud Drive files, photos, mail, contacts, calendars, and bookmarks on your Windows PC. ## Install iCloud for Windows 1. Open the **Microsoft Store** on your Windows PC. 2. Search for **iCloud**. 3. Click **Get** to download and install it. 4. Open iCloud for Windows after installation. 5. Sign in with your Apple ID and complete MFA if prompted. ## Choose What to Sync After signing in, you can enable: **iCloud Drive**: Syncs your iCloud Drive files to a folder on your PC. Files appear in File Explorer under "iCloud Drive." **Photos**: Syncs iCloud Photos to your PC. Choose to download all photos locally or access them on demand. **Mail, Contacts, Calendars**: Syncs with Outlook. You need Outlook installed for this. **Bookmarks**: Syncs Safari bookmarks with Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. **Passwords**: Makes your iCloud Keychain passwords available in Chrome or Edge through the iCloud Passwords extension. ## Access iCloud Drive in File Explorer After enabling iCloud Drive: 1. Open **File Explorer**. 2. Click **iCloud Drive** in the left sidebar. 3. Files sync between your iPhone, Mac, and Windows PC automatically. ## iCloud Passwords in Chrome 1. Install the **iCloud Passwords** extension from the Chrome Web Store. 2. Open iCloud for Windows and enable **Passwords**. 3. When you visit a website in Chrome, the extension can autofill passwords from your iCloud Keychain. 4. New passwords saved in Chrome can also sync back to iCloud Keychain. ## Troubleshooting **iCloud not syncing:** Make sure you are signed in. Check that iCloud for Windows is running (look for it in the system tray). Restart the app if needed. **Not enough iCloud storage:** Free iCloud accounts include 5 GB. If you need more, upgrade at Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage on your iPhone, or through iCloud for Windows. **Photos taking too long:** The initial photo sync can take hours or days depending on how many photos you have. Let it run in the background. ## For Work Computers If your work computer is managed by your organization, check with IT before installing iCloud for Windows. Some organizations restrict personal cloud storage applications on company devices for security reasons.
