K-12 Charter School Builds a Documented IT Foundation

The school's IT had grown organically. No documentation, no formal backup procedures, no asset inventory. Knowledge lived in individual heads. Four weeks of work gave the internal IT lead the documentation and tooling to operate with confidence.

The Challenge

No central IT documentation. No formal backup procedures. No asset inventory. The Veeam backup was due for renewal but nobody had reviewed what it actually covered or how a restore would go. Business Office users had broader system access than their roles needed. When a vendor needed to be reached or something broke, the answer lived in whoever happened to remember it.

What We Did

Four weeks of work alongside the school's internal IT lead. We provided specialist support, not a replacement for the in-house owner. Hudu documentation site populated with network diagrams, vendor contacts, account inventory, and procedures. Veeam reviewed end-to-end, renewal coordinated, license keys delivered. Wasabi cloud storage evaluated against cost-per-TB with a trial. Snipe-IT deployed for asset tracking so end-of-life planning is data-driven. Business Office permissions scoped to least-privilege. On-prem server work done hands-on.
